What's So Dangerous About Premarital Sex?

If you want to keep your morals, avoid being in isolated places with your date.

Having premarital sex can have very serious consequences. There are so many sexually transmitted diseases out here. Let's take a closer look at a few of them.

HIV- Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), causes the immune system to fail which leads to life threatening infections. It can be contacted through the following: Sex, needles, breast milk, blood transfusions, and blood products.

Herpes - A contagious viral infection. Usually painful. It can be on the mouth or genitals. This disease is always contagious. You don't have to have a break out to be contagious.

Gonorrhea - Sexually transmitted, can cause fertility, can spread through the blood and joints, causes inflammation and swelling, and can affect the heart valves.

I just covered a few STD'S. There are many more. Why should you get a disease when you don't have to? All of the diseases here can be prevented. Simply by abstaining from having premarital sex. I'm talking about abstaining before you even get married. Completely avoiding premarital sex.

It sounds out dated. You're probably thinking, "Everyone does it." You many think you'd be the laughing stalk (if anyone found out). This part of your life should remain private. It is no body's business what you do or don't do. Keep it to yourself. Tell your friends it's private. You don't have to share it with them. My virginity was taken away at an early age. If I could do it all over, I would have stayed a virgin until I married. I would have been proud of it too! It's something that is very rare today.

How many of you will still be in a relationship years from now (after premarital sex) with the same guy or girl? I can tell you from experience, I didn't marry any of those guys. Actually, I really grew to dislike one or two of those guys. They cared nothing about me. I found this out the hard way. Not only that, most of them didn't even respect my mother or her home. How foolish of me even think that those guys cared about me. I was so wrapped up in what I was doing and wanting to be loved. I over looked a lot of things. It doesn't have to be the same with you.

My suggestion to all teenagers is, "Occupy yourself with other activities besides the opposite sex." Travel, learn a skill, take up a new hobby, educate yourself now on what to look for in a good mate, finish school, concentrate on helping your parents, learn how to be a good husband or wife (before you get married), have fun getting to know lots of people...etc. There's so much you can be doing now. You'll have plenty of time to include a relationship. The key is not to rush into one before you're ready (a baby could be the result).

What are your thoughts? Is it good advice for teenagers to abstain from sex?
